You will need:

Bicarbonate of soda
Citric acid
Food colour
Essential oil
Witch Hazel Water
Lavender or similar flowers OR
Toiletry grade glitter
Mould or bun tin

Use equal amounts of bicarbonate of soda and citric acid (available from chemists or asian food stores) mix well together making sure there are no lumps.

Add a few drops of food colour and a little essential oil (approximately 1ml to every 200g of mixture).

If you are using flowers or glitter add at this point, stirring thoroughly.

Stir in well, test to see if the mix holds it shape by pinching, if not spray on a little witch hazel water. Take care not to make it too wet or it will fizz up, too dry and it wont hold together.

Press firmly into the moulds and leave to set for several hours or overnight.

Wrap with cellophane and ribbon to create a lovely Christmas gift.

TIP:  Make your own mould by cutting a tennis or ball pond ball in half, fill with mix and press the halves together then leave to set.

Wherever possible we use recyclable packaging – glass, recyclable plastic, cellophane, paper and card. We do not use packaging materials from food crops such as corn because we believe that these crops should be grown to feed the peoples of the world.

Our toiletries contain only the minimum amount of safe synthetic ingredients to keep them free of harmful bacteria and to prolong their life. Alongside such products we have also created alternatives that are synthetic free for those who feel strongly about this.

We make our products by hand which means we utilise the minimum amount of power, resulting in less carbon emissions, making our products more eco-friendly than those produced in factories.

We do not use animal products in our toiletries and we do not buy ingredients from companies that test products on animals. None of our products contains colouring. All are suitable for vegetarians and vegans (with the exception of our organic products and lip balms which contain beeswax).
